VAIN/VANITY

-          Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala) says Glory is His Lower Garment and Majesty is His Cloak. He will torment the one who competes with Him in these respects M4-1381-6349

-          People are at variance with each other because souls are like troops collected together; like attracts like

VICTIM

-          The murderer will not know why he killed - the victim will not know why he was killed M4-1507-6950

VICTORY

-          You gain neither victory nor livelihood except through blessings and dua of poor B4-94-145

-          People will be asked: Is there any among you who accompanied the companions of Prophet (Sallalahu Alayhi Wa Salam)? Victory will be bestowed on them when they reply Yes B5-1-1

VISION

-          Prophet (Sallalahu Alayhi Wa Salam) visited Um Sulaim because her brother was killed in his company

-          Man vows to fast every Tuesday. Coincides with Eid. Ibn Umar says Allah orders vows to be fulfilled and that we are forbidden to fast on day of Nahr. Man repeats his question. Ibn Umar repeats his answer B8-454-697

-          There is no fulfillment of the vow in an act of disobedience, nor in an act over which one has no control. There is no vow in disobedience to Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala) M3-872-4027

-          My sister took a vow to walk barefoot to Kaaba. Prophet (Sallalahu Alayhi Wa Salam) advised that she should walk as well as ride M3-873-4032

-          Man takes vow to pray in Jerusalem. Prophet (Sallalahu Alayhi Wa Salam) advises him to pray in Mecca. Man insists. Prophet (Sallalahu Alayhi Wa Salam) tells him "Suit yourself" AD2-937-3299

-          Man takes vow to slaughter sheep at place. Prophet (Sallalahu Alayhi Wa Salam) asked if it contained idols or images. Advises man to fulfil vow. One sheep escaped. Man says: "Oh Allah! Fulfil my vow on my behalf". Man finds sheep and slaughters it AD2-939-3308

-          Polytheists captured Muslim woman. Woman escapes on Prophet’s (Sallalahu Alayhi Wa Salam) camel and vows that if Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala) saved her, she would sacrifice camel. Prophet (Sallalahu Alayhi Wa Salam) said Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala) did not save you on its back for you to sacrifice it AD2-940-3310
